Volunteer’s gem 2026

Building a social network is one of the most important steps when settling into a new country. Finding spaces where you feel welcomed, connected, and included can make all the difference when creating a sense of home in a new place.
That’s why we are delighted to introduce a new collaboration with one of our volunteers, Andrea Swedenklef.

Walking tour in Lund.

Activities Spring 2026:

  • 5 May at 11 AM - Walking Tour of Lund (we will meet in front of Lund Cathedral)

Join us for a group walking tour of Lund with the wonderful volunteers from . This is a chance to explore Lund through the eyes of a local, discover hidden corners, hear stories about the city, and enjoy a relaxed walk together.

After the tour, those who would like to are invited to stay and join the group for lunch together. We welcome you to a nice opportunity to continue the conversation and enjoy some social time. All are welcome, rain or shine! It will be a fun way to experience Lund, meet others, and spend a lovely afternoon together.

  • 27 May at 17.30 PM - After Work and music quiz at O'Learys Lund

After work, often shortened to “AW” (pronounced ah-veh)—is a Swedish tradition of gathering for drinks with colleagues or friends at the end of the workday.

To celebrate the start of summer, join us for an AW with a twist: an evening of music and friendly competition. Test your knowledge in a summer hits music quiz featuring classic anthems and feel-good favorites that capture the spirit of the season.

Seats are limited and registration is required, so be sure to secure your spot early.

Brush up on your Summer music hits knowledge, reserve your place and come ready to play!

We will meet at O’Learys at Klostergatan 14B, where ۲ӰԺ volunteer Steve Marsden will be there to warmly welcome you.

Please note: It is free to join, but spaces are limited, so please register in advance if you would like to participate. Register via the link bellow.

Keep an eye open for new activities. The page will be updated soon with more events.

Find your place in Lund: Join our volunteer-led activities

We are happy to have Andrea Swedenklef with us during spring 2026. She will be volunteering and organising a range of activities that play an important role in fostering a sense of belonging and helping you find your way socially. We asked Andrea to introduce herself:

I’m excited to introduce myself as a volunteer, organizing meetups and activities for ۲ӰԺ and to invite you to join us throughout the year as we explore Lund together. These activities are meant not only to connect people but also to help you experience and appreciate the best of Lund! We will be enjoying happy hours (called an AW for "after work"), casual coffee meetups (Fika), walking tours as well as visits to some of the area’s most interesting sites. I’m grateful to be continuing these activities that ۲ӰԺ started and look forward to creating welcoming, enjoyable experiences where everyone can meet new people and discover more of this lovely city along the way. Keep an eye open for future activities planned.

I am looking forward to meeting you!
